President Ford took the controls of this nation after Nixon was forced out. He took over the military and ended the Vietnam nightmare. He did what he thought was best for the nation and pardoned Nixon, even though it made him a target for others to trash.

President Ford was a simple man and was an honest man. He was the type of man where honor was important. His family, God, and nation was most important to him. Even as the leader of one of the largest nations in the world he still cooked two of his daily meals himself and insisted in not being “fussed” over by staff members.

Hello Everyone:

I would just like to extend warm, honest wishes to all of you and your families this holiday season. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah,  Yule or any other holiday, I hope it’s magical. There has been a lot of fuss lately over not doing Christmas the right way. To me the Holiday season is about family, togetherness, and seeing the joy of my family on Christmas morning. Just seeing the happiness of my family is what makes the day for me. Christmas has always been a very special time at our home. Getting the girls up to give them their gifts and then the big family super. The day filled with a feeling of togetherness and joy.

My wife and I made the call this year to cut back on the number of gifts the girls get for Christmas. We simply do not want the kids to get the wrong idea of what the Holiday season is all about.  It is not about the number of gifts you get or how much each gift cost. It is about family, sharing, and caring. We will be giving money this year also, though late, to a local homeless shelter in their names. We want to be sure that we install in them the act of giving to others. We have some very good kids and I am VERY thankful for the woman they are becoming. I want to simply do my part in ensuring that they know what this Holiday season really means. I feel that so many times parents in general fail to teach their children the true meaning. I see so many parents basing it on the amount of gifts they buy their kids or how much money they can spend on each of their children. Thousands of parents will rack up thousands of dollars of of debt to give their kids a load of shit they simply do not need. Now ask yourself how better can they give to and teach their kids then by cutting back their gifts…having them help others..and install lasting memories of a truly special season.
